Can I use 18V batteries on FlexVolt tools?
Unfortunately, standard 18V Dewalt batteries are not compatible with the new FlexVolt tools, as they require a 54V battery to operate. You can however use the new 54V batteries on your old 18V tools!
How does the new FlexVolt technology work?
The new Flexvolt batteries use a different wiring system to connect individual lithium-ion cells in a battery pack which allows them to be discharged more efficiently and therefore increases runtime. For more information on how FlexVolt works check out our blog post!
