Makita Angle Drill Features

High-Powered Motors

Our range of Makita drills are available in either 18V or 40V variants and come equipped with powerful brushless motors that are capable of producing 136Nm of torque and 1500rpm, providing all the performance you need to get a wide range of drilling and driving tasks done quickly and easily.

Electric brakes

The electric brakes featured in our range of Makita cordless angle drills are designed to prevent injuries resulting from things like kickback. When the trigger is released, the polarity of the electricity running to the motor’s brushes is reversed, which decelerates the motor to a stop much quicker than it otherwise would. This handy safety feature can greatly reduce the risk of injury to the operator when using these powerful tools.

Automatic torque drive

Makita’s Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) adjusts speed and torque during operation for optimal performance, even in the most demanding applications. If the tool is put under heavy load, ADT detects the added demand and applies more torque and speed to finish the job. Makita cordless tools with ADT are engineered to deliver corded performance without the cord!

FAQs

What are the benefits of using an angle drill compared to a traditional drill?

An angle drill has a reduced head length which means it is perfect for those hard-to-reach locations. The overall dimensions and shape make them much easier to use when working in confined spaces or from awkward angles.

Can these Makita angle drills be used for drilling metal or masonry?

Yes, Makita angle drills can be used for drilling metal or masonry when used with the right drill bit for the material being drilled. For drilling metal, use high-speed steel (HSS) or cobalt drill bits, while for drilling masonry, use carbide-tipped drill bits.
