Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Digital Marketing & Communications Executive with at least 3 years' experience who is looking for the next step in their career to join our dynamic digital marketing team at our office in central Edinburgh.

Do you have the passion and ambition to work in a fast-paced digital environment within the Professional tools and home improvement sectors? Can you create and manage multiple campaigns across a variety of digital platforms?

As our Digital Marketing & Communications Executive, you will be responsible for all day-to-day digital activity for our Social Media and Email Marketing. This will include planning, setting up and developing social media organic and paid campaigns. CMS knowledge and customer segmentation, email automation and content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, set-up, and ongoing management of paid Social Media Campaigns across different channels and other external networks.
  • Strong ability to identify and assess effectiveness of campaigns and efficient management of online budgets.
  • Understanding and appreciation of sales figures and wider dealerships performance metrics; and the ability to translate this into effective online campaigns.
  • Diligent with quality control throughout the website and any external campaigns.
  • Co-ordinate with internal creative team for digital advertising assets.
  • Customer Segmentation based on purchase behaviour and retargeting through email automation.
  • Content creation, including imagery and video.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving on our digital profile by collaborating with press, industry publications & influencers.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Digital Marketing Executive with proven track record of managing/creating/building social media campaigns.
  • Educated to Degree Level on Digital Marketing or similar subject.
  • Experienced in Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Facebook Business and CMS.
  • Experienced in email marketing and setting up automation and regular content.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical/reporting skills.
  • Pro-active approach to working in a face-paced environment.
  • Power Tool / Hand Tool / Accessories Industry experience beneficial.
  • Experienced in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Basic knowledge on HTML and CSS.
  • Can confidently manage Excel sheets and csv import/export.

Additional Information

This is a full time role working Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm from our central office in Edinburgh. Salaery is negotiable, based on experience.

As our SEO Executive, you will be responsible for all day-to-day SEO activity for website, focusing on the on-site and off-site strategy development and implementation. This will include content creating and optimisation, technical SEO & outreach.

It is essential that you have a proven track record of delivering successful SEO campaigns, preferable within the professional tool industry & home improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Create best practice SEO strategies for our clients and drive the execution of these strategies.
  • Lead complex deep dives to understand the performance gaps and opportunities, including website audits, crawl analysis, keyword research, etc.
  • Manage on-page, off-page and technical strategies.
  • Communicate strategy plans to clients in a confident and user-friendly way.
  • Inform content strategies based on competitive landscape, SEO research, trends, and insights.
  • Monitor, analyse and report back on the performance.
  • Use digital tracking tools to provide insights, performance data and analysis for clients.
  • Manage, develop, and train the wider team.
  • Work closely with our other teams of specialists to ensure a cohesive digital approach.
  • Understand SEO and its commercial impact.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in SEO within an agency or in house.
  • Educated to Degree Level on Digital Marketing or similar subject.
  • Experience of strategic and operational SEO management and optimisation, including content, on-site, outreach and tactical SEO strategies.
  • Ability to understand and execute core SEO best practice, with proven experience in successful SEO campaigns.
  • Knowledge of SEO Tools, including Google Search Console, Google Analytics SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
  • Expert in Google Analytics and other analytics tools.
  • Solid understanding of various Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Excellent written and spoken skills with the ability to confidently communicate strategy plans to clients, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • A structured and organised approach to creating and communication SEO Strategies.
  • Data driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to analyse performance and act on opportunities.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and lateral thinking.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Fantastic time management with the ability to work to deadlines and ensure workflow management.
  • Experience running Digital PR and/or link building campaigns.
  • Basic web development knowledge (HTML and CSS knowledge beneficial)
