Can I use my existing batteries with these Makita lawn mowers?

If you currently own Makita 18V LXT batteries then they can be used with these lawn mowers. CXT and G series batteries are unfortunately not compatible. 

Are these lawn mowers waterproof?

While Makita’s XPT technology offers amazing weather resistance, these lawn mowers are not fully waterproof, however, for the best finish, it’s recommended to cut your lawn when it’s mostly dry, so there are very few reasons that you would ever need a fully waterproof lawnmower.
