The Makita HP488DWE 18V Li-ion G-Series Cordless Combi Drill features a small design, 2 mechanical gears, 16 torque levels, hammer action, and trigger-operated variable speed control with forward and backward spinning. Makita's HP488DWE 18V Li-ion cordless combi drill is small and lightweight, making it the perfect tool for drilling into light masonry, plastic, metal, and wood. While the ergonomically designed rubberized soft grip offers superb control and comfort, the all-metal gear structure adds durability. A single sleeve keyless chuck is also included with the HP488DWE to make changing drill or screwdriver bits simple.

The white or grey top piece of the Makita G-Series battery makes it easy to identify, and the 18v model has a 1.5 a/h hour battery capacity. The DC18WA battery charger from the G-Series can charge batteries in 60 minutes. The Makita LXT cordless range is NOT compatible with the Makita G Series battery; only the G Series line of cordless power tools are compatible with it.
