The Makita 9031 is a single speed variable multi-purpose belt sander, fitted with a belt size of 30mm x 533mm and fitted with a 550w motor, weighing just 2.1kg this lightweight machine can be used either single handed or with the optional side handle. The variable speed is controlled by a speed dial situated to the side of the on/off switch, the speed can be set on this dial to the correct speed for the material being sanded whether its wood, metal or plastic etc.
