Loxa

Why add Loxa protection?

Loxa Protection covers your tools against accidental damage, theft and mechanical or electrical breakdown, going beyond what a standard manufacturer's warranty provides. Whether your tool is dropped on a job, suffers heat or impact damage, is stolen, or develops a fault after the manufacturer's warranty has expired, you may be eligible for repair or replacement so you are not left out of pocket. Loxa provides a simple and fast claims journey designed to be low stress and customer friendly, giving you peace of mind throughout the cover period.

Who is Loxa?

Loxa is your retailer's protection plan partner for product cover. Loxa specialises in product protection and extended warranty solutions, and manages policy administration and claims handling from end to end through its specialist claims and repair network.

What do I get with Loxa protection?

Depending on the product and the plan selected, Loxa Protection may cover:

  • Theft of the insured item (a police report is required)
  • Accidental damage such as liquid spills, heat or impact damage
  • Mechanical or electrical breakdown not covered by the manufacturer's warranty

Repairs may be carried out at your premises, by post, or through a drop-off point, depending on the product.

If the cost of repair exceeds the replacement value, the item may be replaced. If replacement is not possible, a voucher or store credit may be offered in line with the policy terms.

Loxa Product Protection does not cover cosmetic-only damage that does not affect use, normal wear and tear, or issues already covered by your manufacturer warranty.

For full details, please refer to your Product Protection Policy Wording and IPID document

What is not covered?

Key exclusions include: accidental loss or misplacement (theft requires a police report or crime reference number); cosmetic-only damage that does not affect how the item works; normal wear and tear and gradual deterioration; pre-existing damage or faults; damage caused by not following manufacturer instructions; issues already covered by your manufacturer warranty; flooding or repeated liquid exposure; and claims by residents of the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. Please refer to the full Policy Wording for a complete list.

Where am I covered?

Cover applies in the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland. You are also covered while abroad for trips lasting up to 180 days. Residents of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland are not eligible for cover under this policy

Important disclaimer and regulatory information?

By purchasing Loxa Protection, you confirm that you have read and agree to the policy terms and the IPID document provided at checkout. This insurance is administered by Loxa Ltd and underwritten by Helvetia Global Solutions Ltd, UK Branch. Full regulatory and insurer details are provided in your policy documentation.

How do I purchase Loxa protection?

You can add Loxa Protection on the product page when viewing an eligible product. Protection must be purchased for each product individually, including multiple quantities of the same model.

When does cover start and how long does it last?

Your cover starts from the date shown on your protection plan certificate. The cover duration is confirmed in your policy schedule issued after purchase. Damage in transit or delivery issues are handled by your retailer under their delivery and returns process, not under the protection plan.

Where can I find my policy documents?

Your policy documents, wording and certificate are provided by email after purchase. They can also be accessed through your Loxa customer portal at app.loxacover.com/login. Please check your spam folder if you cannot find your confirmation email.

How can I cancel or change my Loxa protection?

You can cancel your protection within the first 30 days for a full refund, provided no claim has been made. After 30 days, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund based on the unused portion of your cover, provided no claim has been made. To cancel or update your details, use the Loxa customer portal link in your confirmation email or follow the instructions in your policy documents.

What if I return my product?

If you return your product within the retailer's return window, you can also request cancellation and a refund of the protection plan, subject to the policy terms.

How do I make a claim?

You can start a claim at www.loxacover.com/start-a-claim or by using the link in your policy confirmation email. The online claim form guides you step by step. For theft claims, you will need to provide a police report or crime reference number. The claims team will review your submission and provide next steps, which may include repair, replacement, store credit or monetary settlement depending on the outcome and policy terms. Please keep your purchase receipt and any requested evidence available. Claims must be notified within 30 days of the incident.

I purchased multiple products. How do I know which plan applies?

Each protection plan is linked to a specific product. Your policy schedule shows the covered item details so you can easily match each plan to each product.

How does Loxa calculate pricing?

Multiple factors including insurance claim costs and item price influence the price of Loxa's Protection. Prices are continually updated so the price may change between visits. If the price has gone up we are unfortunately unable to revert to the old price.

How do I get support?

For support, use the contact details provided in your Loxa confirmation email and policy documents. Customer support can help with policy questions, updates and general enquiries.

Is there a limit on how many claims I can make?

You can make multiple claims up to the cover limit shown on your policy schedule. If you receive three repairs within any 12-month period, your policy will end even if the total value has not yet reached the cover limit. A successful full replacement will also end the policy, as this exhausts the sum insured. Your policy ends at whichever of these points comes first.

Can I transfer my Loxa protection to someone else?

If you sell or give away your insured item, you can transfer the protection plan to the new owner by contacting Loxa at info@loxacover.com. If the policy was purchased on behalf of someone else, it should be transferred to the end user as soon as possible and ideally within 30 days of the policy start date, so they have full access to their cover, policy documents and claims support.

Who can take out a Loxa protection plan?

To be eligible you must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident. Cover is available to both personal and business customers. Cover does not apply to items kept permanently in short-let properties, rental accommodation let to third parties, or subletting arrangements.
