The Makita DHP486Z combi drill is a powerful and versatile tool that features a compact overall length of only 178mm for use in narrow work spaces. The high powered brushless motor produces 130Nm peak torque and the high durability aluminium gear housing ensures long-lasting performance. With its mechanical 2 speed gearing and all metal gear construction, this tool offers reliable operation. The single sleeve keyless chuck allows for easy bit installation and removal by one hand while the electric brake, variable speed control by trigger, and forward/reverse rotation provide added control. The overall length has been decreased by 27mm compared to the previous generation for better handling and control. Screwdriving mode (rotation with clutch) is one of the three drilling modes that can be used to drive screws with an even, uniform finish. Drilling mode (just rotation) provides 130Nm of maximum torque. The hammer drilling mode allows for holes of up to 16mm in diameter to be drilled in masonry. The high-lumen twin LED job light with pre-glow and after-glow provides a clear and reliable light source for the work area.

The DHP486Z has undergone a redesign with a newly designed motor and gear ratio, to increase performance in heavy-duty situations while also obtaining higher power. Two-speed mechanical gearing delivers significant amounts of torque for heavy-duty operations in the low-speed mode, which yields up to 2,100 rpm for quick drilling speed. Power can be transferred smoothly in heavy load applications thanks to the all-metal gear structure. The extremely sturdy materials guarantee that the DHP486Z will have unparalleled durability and function well for years to come.
