The Makita DC18RD/1 14.4V/18V Li-ion twin rapid charger can charge up to 2 batteries simultaneously. The rapid charger features an optimum charging technology which communicates with the battery's built-in chip during the charging process. The system then actively controls current, voltage and temperature to optimize battery life plus the built-in fan circulates air through the battery to keep it cool for faster charge times.
