As part of the 18V LXT cordless power tools range, it combines a powerful 180 Nm brushless motor with an ultra-short 111 mm body, making it ideal for working in confined spaces or overhead. Four electronic impact modes, variable speed control and assist functions allow the user to optimise speed and impact rate for different fastener sizes and materials, helping to reduce cam-out and over-tightening. An anti-bit wobbling structure and ergonomic, rubber-moulded grip support accurate, comfortable handling throughout the working day. The integrated LED ring work light with selectable brightness improves visibility in dark corners and interior fixings. The Makita DTD173Z 18V Cordless Brushless Impact Driver is supplied as a bare unit with a belt hook, ready to use with existing Makita 18V LXT Li-ion batteries and chargers.
