The Makita DHR183Z 18V LXT Brushless 18mm SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer Drill (Body Only) is a compact cordless SDS+ hammer designed for fast, controlled drilling in concrete, masonry, wood and steel. Built around Makita’s 18V LXT platform, it offers the freedom of cordless operation while delivering up to 1.7J of impact energy for anchors, fixings and light chiselling tasks on site. The brushless motor, variable speed trigger and constant speed control work together to maintain strong performance under load, while AVT anti-vibration technology and a three-position side handle help reduce fatigue during overhead or extended use. Two selectable modes – Rotation only and Rotation with Hammering – make it easy to switch between precise drilling and rapid hammer drilling, and the SDS-Plus chuck with tool-less bit change keeps accessory swaps quick and simple. An LED job light with pre-glow and afterglow improves visibility in darker areas. Supplied as a bare unit, the DHR183Z is compatible with Makita 18V LXT Li-ion batteries and comes with a depth gauge and side handle where stated.
