The Makita DHR242Z 18V 24mm Brushless SDS+ Rotary Hammer (Body Only) is a cordless combination hammer designed for fast, controlled drilling and light chiselling in concrete, masonry, steel and wood within the cordless SDS+ hammer drills category. Powered by Makita's 18V LXT lithium-ion platform and an efficient brushless motor, it delivers up to 2.0 J of impact energy and 0-4700 blows per minute, allowing it to drill concrete up to 24 mm while maintaining consistent performance. Three operating modes - rotation only, hammering only, and rotation with hammering - provide flexibility for anchor fixing, chasing and general construction work, while the variable speed trigger and 0-950 rpm no load speed support precise hole starting and clean finishes. Vibration absorbing cushion rubbers, a rubber joint protecting the battery terminals and an easy-to-grip ergonomic handle help improve comfort and durability during extended professional use. Supplied as a bare unit with side handle and depth stop, the DHR242Z is compatible with all Makita 18V LXT batteries and optional dust extraction systems.
