The Makita DHP487Z LXT 18V Brushless Combi Drill (Body Only) is a compact cordless drill designed for professional drilling and screwdriving across timber, metal and masonry. Sitting within Makita's 18V LXT platform, it delivers the convenience of cordless power tools while remaining light and easy to handle in tight spaces and at height. A high-efficiency brushless motor, 2-speed all-metal gearbox and variable speed trigger provide smooth control from 0-500 rpm in low gear and 0-1,700 rpm in high gear, with a maximum hard torque of 40 Nm for confident fastening. Three operating modes - screwdriving, rotary drilling and hammer drilling - cover everyday fixing, frame work and light masonry applications, supported by an impact rate up to 25,500 bpm and drilling capacities of 36mm in wood and 13mm in steel or masonry. Twin LED work lights, an ergonomic rubber-moulded grip and compact 164mm overall length help reduce fatigue during regular trade use. The Makita DHP487Z is supplied as a body only combi drill with belt clip and bit, ready to pair with existing Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries and chargers.
