The ForgeFast FFT650Y screws are ideal for fixing into most wood applications. The Elementech 400 surface coating provides corrosion resistance and has been salt spray tested to 400 hours. The screws have a Non-Cr, Cr3+, yellow/zinc plated surface that is environmentally friendly. The screws have a deep torx compatible head that ensures reduced cam-out, higher torque levels, and a firmer drive. The screws have a patented self-drilling thread that eliminates the need for a pilot hole. The screws have a torx compatible insert for a higher transmission of power. The screws have a patented drill/drive shank that allows for faster drive, reduced splitting and ‘jacking’ of the timber, increased pull-out, and a firmer fix. The screws have a sharp point for faster bite and are capable of penetrating 0.8mm steel. The screws have a unique self-drilling shank that drives into most substrates, including hardwood, with ease. The screws have a hardened case and core that give exceptional strength. The screws have improved countersinking from recessed ribs. The screws have an impressive pull-out value and less risk of working loose when used in substrates that flex in use.
