Work Bench Features
Durable Construction Built to withstand the toughest professional environments, our work benches are constructed from heavy-duty materials like reinforced steel frames and thick, solid wooden or bamboo worktops. This rugged build ensures your work bench remains stable and secure under heavy use, providing a reliable surface for years to come.
Exceptional Load Capacity Whether you are working on heavy automotive parts or assembling bulky timber frames, load capacity is crucial. Our professional work benches are engineered to support massive weights, with many heavy-duty models capable of holding hundreds of kilograms safely without buckling, swaying, or compromising on stability.
Portability and Storage If workshop space is limited or you need a reliable surface on the active job site, a folding work bench is the perfect solution. We stock highly portable, collapsible work benches that are lightweight enough to carry from the van to the site, yet structurally sturdy enough to handle serious clamping, cutting, and drilling tasks.
Integrated Organisation Keep your essential hand tools and fixings right where you need them. Many of our premium work benches feature built-in storage solutions, including lower shelving, pegboards, and handy storage drawers, allowing you to keep your workspace perfectly organised and highly efficient.

Work Bench FAQs
What is the best material for a work bench top?
The best material depends entirely on your specific trade. Solid wood or bamboo tops are highly popular for general carpentry and DIY, as they are exceptionally durable and kind to edge tools. For mechanics, fabricators, or welders, a steel-topped work bench is recommended, as it easily resists oil, grease, and high heat.
Are folding work benches sturdy enough for heavy-duty work?
Yes! Modern folding work benches are incredibly robust. High-quality portable models feature reinforced steel legs and secure locking mechanisms that can support significant weight (often up to 200kg or more). This makes them perfectly suited for aggressive on-site sawing, drilling, and heavy clamping.
What height should my work bench be?
For optimal ergonomics, a standard work bench should typically sit at around the height of your wrist when your arms are resting naturally at your sides (usually between 85cm and 95cm from the floor). If you perform a lot of detailed, close-up work, a slightly higher bench may be more comfortable, while heavy downward-pressure tasks (like planing) benefit from a slightly lower surface.
Can I attach a vice to a portable work bench?
Many premium portable work benches feature dual-clamping systems built directly into the table top, operating much like a large vice. However, if you wish to bolt a heavy, traditional cast-iron vice to your table, a static, heavy-duty wooden or steel work bench is highly recommended to provide the necessary weight and stability.
