Types of Laser Levels

Self-levelling lasers

Our range of self-levelling lasers allow the user to easily make level readings regardless of the surrounding floor surface. They are useful for determining horizontality and verticality with greater accuracy and are a great tool for professionals like carpenters, masons, bricklayers, millwrights, and metalworkers. They’re a must-have tool for any professional who needs to level regularly and frequently needs to meet tight project deadlines.

Rotary laser levels

Rotary Laser Levels are an indispensable tool for building, construction, and interior finishing work. Their main function is to emit a beam forming a 360° circle that indicates a level plane, but they can perform many other tasks as well. Other applications include horizontal and vertical levelling, 90° layout, squaring, plumb positioning, and alignment. Although often found in professional settings, they can be a great tool for keen DIYers who are working on renovation projects as they can be used to level floors, align cabinets and shelves, check the height of the door and window frames and much more.

Cross-line laser

Cross-line lasers are used primarily indoors as a visible horizontal and vertical laser line to help with a wide range of installations such as fitting kitchens or bathrooms, carpentry, electrical fit-out, tiling, and more. They can project a laser line horizontally and vertically, providing an accurate horizontal or vertical plane either both at the same time or individually.

FAQs

Can these laser levels be used for distance measuring?

Laser levels are used to project a level line across a surface, but they do not measure distance. To measure distance, you would need a laser distance measurer or a tape measure. Check out our selection of laser distance measures and tape measures below:

What is the difference between a red and green laser level?

The main difference between red and green laser levels is the wavelength of light they use. Green laser levels are generally brighter and more visible to the human eye than red laser levels, but they are also more expensive and consume more battery power. Green laser levels have a longer range than red laser levels, making them more suitable for outdoor and large-scale projects.
